I think Watson's point is well taken--that although intelligence is a pretty sketchy asset to correctly quantify, it would stand to reason that in the past vast amounts of the world's populace were segregated geographically and the intelligence levels of some cultures would most likely evolve at different rates. Dr. Watson could've certainly made this point in a less off-color fashion. But, that hardly means he's ignorant.
